Bring your picnic spread, and join us for a day of fun, and community building!
Here are some key points about the event, and more FAQ below.
- Free giveaway for the first 20 people to arrive
- Bring your own picnic blanket or folding/camping chairs
- Bring your favorite meal and drink, no need to share, but you're welcome to offer extras
- You're welcome to bring a favorite activity for others to join in-- i.e. corn hole, soccer ball, portable badminton etc
- Kids playground and restrooms on site
- We'll have a fun ice breaker to get to know each other
- No alcohol allowed
- Well-behaved dogs may be allowed; please refer to the San Diego Parks official policies
- Participate in any games/activities at your own discretion; San Diego Scottish Highland Games not liable should you incur any injury or damage to your property

While we can’t guarantee the exact location in the park, since we don’t know what crowds will be like, we’ve dropped a pin on a map to where we anticipate setting up.
We’ll have a table you can check in at to get a name tag, and claim your giveaway, if eligible.
YES! 100%! Kilts, and any clan/tartan’d wear is HIGHLY encouraged.
Please note: pointed/sharp/bladed objects such as a Sgian-dubh or dirk, should be left at home.
Absolutely! If you’re having a great time, you can stay as long as you want. SDSHG Directors will be on site, however, from 11am-2pm.
This is a free event. Please note that pending upon where you end up parking, there may be a fee required. We have tried to identify a location with plenty of free parking, however.
Come one, come all! We understand that many of our wonderful supporters have no affiliation to Scotland, whatsoever. We just want to say thank you for being part of our community over the years, and bring us together face-to-face!
